Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 piece ripe banana, preferably frozen Frozen for a creamier texture.
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries Frozen to maintain thickness.
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) Choose your preferred type of milk.
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (optional) Adds creaminess and protein.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) For added sweetness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) Enhances flavor.
  • a few pieces ice cubes (optional) Optional for extra chill.
  • Optional toppings: fresh strawberries, banana slices, granola, chia seeds

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: Ensure your banana is ripe (or frozen) and your strawberries are also frozen.
  • Add the frozen banana and strawberries to your blender. Break the banana into pieces to make blending easier.
  • Pour in your chosen milk.
  • Add Greek yogurt if using, drizzle in honey or maple syrup, and toss in the vanilla extract.
  • Blend at low speed, gradually increasing to high, until smooth (about 30-60 seconds).
  • Check consistency and taste. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk. For additional sweetness, add more honey or syrup.
  • Optionally add ice cubes and blend again for extra chill.
  • Pour into a glass and garnish with toppings as desired.

Notes

Frozen fruits are key for creaminess. For a vegan option, substitute Greek yogurt with plant-based yogurt and honey with maple syrup.
