  • 1 box vanilla cake mix The base of your cake pops, providing that soft, fluffy texture.
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting This sweet, creamy element binds your cake crumbs together.
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips or candy melts For the outer coating.

Preparation

  • Bake the cake according to the box instructions in a 9×13 inch pan until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
  • Crumble the cake into fine crumbs using your hands until it resembles sand.
  • Mix in 1 cup of vanilla frosting until thoroughly combined and the mixture is moldable.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Insert lollipop sticks into each cake ball and freeze for about an hour.

Coating

  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each frozen cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles immediately.
  • Stand the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand, and let them set for about 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

Chill the cake before crumbling for better handling. Use quality chocolate for the best result. Feel free to add different flavors or themed decorations for special occasions.
