  • 500 g Shortcrust Dough Buttery and flaky base
  • 300 g Mini Sausages Juicy bites for wrapping

Garnish & Extras

  • 1 large Egg (for washing) For achieving golden color
  • ketchup Ketchup For dipping and flavor
  • a few sprigs Rosemary Fresh herb for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  • On a floured surface, roll out the shortcrust dough to a thickness of about 5mm.
  • Cut the rolled dough into triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

Assembly

  • Wrap each triangle of dough around a mini sausage, ensuring it overlaps to secure the sausage.
  • Arrange the wrapped sausages on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash for a glossy finish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Carefully arrange the baked sausages in a circular shape on a serving platter to form a wreath.
  • Garnish with ketchup around the wreath and add fresh rosemary sprigs.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle cheese over the sausages before wrapping. You can substitute different fillings for variety, such as feta or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
