Cooking the Meat

  • Once browned, add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.

  • Repeat the layers: another 4 lasagna noodles, remaining cheese mixture, rest of the meat sauce, and final third of the mozzarella cheese.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Refrigerate leftover lasagna for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Cover with foil when reheating to retain moisture.
