  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded The foundation of the casserole, providing protein.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Adds creaminess and flavor.
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Provides nutrition and color.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For that melty goodness.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Soaks up flavors and adds heartiness.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of mushroom soup, frozen mixed vegetables, and cooked rice, along with half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Mix until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Pair with a fresh salad or serve as a main dish during gatherings. Can be prepared ahead of time and stored for later.
