Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation

  • In a shallow bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the coating mixture.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until well combined.
  • In a third bowl, place panko breadcrumbs for coating.

Coating the Chicken

  • Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the coated chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and drain excess oil on paper towels.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
  • Drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the chicken just before serving.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider using almond milk for dairy-free, sugar-free syrup for lower calories, or replacing chicken with lean turkey or cauliflower.
