  • ½ cup cranberry sauce store-bought or homemade

  • 1 tablespoon honey optional

  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to a size large enough to wrap the Brie.
  • Optionally, slice off the top rind of the Brie for a creamier texture once baked.
  • Place the Brie in the center of the pastry, then spread cranberry sauce on top, sprinkle with pecans, and drizzle with honey if desired.
  • Fold the pastry over the Brie and press to seal. Trim excess pastry and use scraps for decorative elements.
  • Whisk together egg and water for an egg wash and brush it over the pastry.
  • Chill the wrapped Brie in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes if a firmer pastry is preferred.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  • Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow the Brie to set slightly.

Serving

  • Garnish with rosemary, extra cranberry sauce, and chopped pecans. Serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, consider using homemade cranberry sauce. Experiment with different nuts or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cranberry sauce for spice. Ensure vegetarian-friendly ingredients if needed.
