  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ fruit fresh lemon (juice only)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds For garnish
  • 4 wedges lemon For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with Cajun seasoning and a pinch of salt. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot pan and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes.
  • Gently flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the flesh turns opaque.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together unsalted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.

Final Steps

  • Pour the honey butter mixture over the salmon fillets and let it bubble for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and black sesame seeds, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon. Consider adding cayenne pepper for extra heat, or toss some sliced bell peppers or zucchini into the skillet for added veggies.
